About Canada Post

Canada Post is Canada’s national postal operator. Its tracking service covers domestic parcels, registered products and many international items. Packages entering or leaving Canada can be handed to another postal operator, while the same international reference may continue working.

PostIndex is an independent tracking guide. It does not transport parcels and is not affiliated with Canada Post. The button above opens the official carrier service, where the latest operational tracking data is displayed.

Why is Canada Post tracking not updating?

Tracking can pause before the first acceptance scan, between processing facilities, during customs review or after transfer to a destination operator. Canada Post recommends checking that the full number from the receipt or label was entered.

Useful checks: confirm the carrier name, remove accidental spaces, wait for the first acceptance scan, and compare the number with the sender’s email. If a delivery estimate has passed, contact the sender or Canada Post through an official support channel.

How long does Canada Post delivery take?

Delivery standards depend on the product, origin and destination. Weather, remote-area transport, customs and peak periods can affect the final date. The official tracking page displays the most relevant estimate when one is available.

International Canada Post tracking

Cross-border mail may show fewer scans while it is transported between countries. After arrival, customs or a local postal partner can create the next update. When a partner is named, checking the same tracking number on that operator’s official website can provide additional final-mile information.
