About Australia Post

Australia Post is Australia’s national postal service and provides domestic and international parcel tracking. A MyPost account is optional for basic tracking: the official service can check an item using its tracking number alone.

PostIndex is an independent tracking guide. It does not transport parcels and is not affiliated with Australia Post. The button above opens the official carrier service, where the latest operational tracking data is displayed.

Check the dispatch email, online order, label or postal receipt.

Why is Australia Post tracking not updating?

The sender may create a label before lodging the parcel. Tracking can also pause during interstate transport, flights, customs checks or a handover to an overseas postal partner. Confirm the complete article ID before trying again.

Useful checks: confirm the carrier name, remove accidental spaces, wait for the first acceptance scan, and compare the number with the sender’s email. If a delivery estimate has passed, contact the sender or Australia Post through an official support channel.

How long does Australia Post delivery take?

Transit depends on the domestic or international service, distance, destination and customs. Remote areas and international handovers may add time. The current official scan and estimate should be used for delivery planning.

International Australia Post tracking

Cross-border mail may show fewer scans while it is transported between countries. After arrival, customs or a local postal partner can create the next update. When a partner is named, checking the same tracking number on that operator’s official website can provide additional final-mile information.
