About La Poste

La Poste is France’s national postal operator. Its network handles tracked letters, Colissimo parcels and international postal shipments. Items sent abroad can be handed to the destination country’s designated postal operator for customs processing and final delivery.

PostIndex is an independent tracking guide. It does not transport parcels and is not affiliated with La Poste. The button above opens the official carrier service, where the latest operational tracking data is displayed.

How to track a La Poste package

Check the dispatch email, online order, label or postal receipt.

2. Enter it correctly

Copy every letter and digit without adding spaces unless shown on the label.

3. Check the result

Why is La Poste tracking not updating?

A new number may not become searchable until La Poste records the first physical scan. Cross-border items can remain unchanged during transport, customs review or transfer to the destination postal operator.

Useful checks: confirm the carrier name, remove accidental spaces, wait for the first acceptance scan, and compare the number with the sender’s email. If a delivery estimate has passed, contact the sender or La Poste through an official support channel.

How long does La Poste delivery take?

Delivery estimates depend on the product, destination, posting time and customs. Colissimo and tracked-letter services have different delivery standards, so check the service stated on the receipt and the newest official tracking event.

International La Poste tracking

Cross-border mail may show fewer scans while it is transported between countries. After arrival, customs or a local postal partner can create the next update. When a partner is named, checking the same tracking number on that operator’s official website can provide additional final-mile information.
